Mugwort Rice Cakes (Surichwi-tteok)
수리취떡
Surichwi-tteok, eaten on Dano (a traditional early-summer festival), smells a bit like mugwort but gentler and softer. Green rice cakes stamped in a wheel pattern - pretty, too.

❝ "Suri" is an old word for cart (sure). The cakes are pressed with a wheel-shaped mold, meant to chase away bad energy on Dano. Surichwi is in the aster family and can only be picked in May and June. ❞
